Discovering Mystic Hot Springs in Utah
A close friend recommended visiting one of Utah’s mineral spas. Consequently, before our trip, I discovered Mystic Hot Springs in Utah, a hidden gem. Located just two hours from our Airbnb in Monroe, it is the nearest spa to Mt. Zion. Therefore, we took scenic Highway 89, excited by the prospect of relaxation.
First Impressions at Mystic Hot Springs
Upon arrival, the rustic setting immediately set a calming tone. The entrance resembled a run-down campsite with a contact number for check-in. After making the call, we headed to the back for restrooms. A walk up the hill past converted camper vans led us to the spring baths. Poor signage made navigation difficult, adding confusion for us first-timers. Despite the overgrown and poorly maintained surroundings, we eagerly anticipated a relaxing soak.
Purchasing Soaking Passes
I bought a two-hour pass for the springs—$25 for adults and $12.50 for kids. We were looking forward to our time in the mineral-rich waters.

Our Soaking Session at Mystic Hot Springs
We immersed ourselves in the springs, feeling the warm waters’ soothing effects instantly. My daughter was surprised by the water’s natural color but soon enjoyed the experience. The tranquil surroundings helped us deeply relax, easing my anxiety.

I cherished watching my daughter bond with her grandmother, thereby strengthening our family ties. This visit reminded us of the importance of creating lasting memories.
Future Visits
While we missed soaking under the stars, our visit was still magical. Next time, we aim to enjoy Mystic Hot Springs at sunset or under the night sky.
